Dear all,

To better help prevent further spread of the coronavirus and help our trainees to understand the important supporting role of biomedicine and information technology in fighting against the pandemic, and give our trainees more confidence in winning the battle against COVID-19, we plan to organize one session of online training programme on the theme of Information Technology Application in Prevention and Control of COVID-19. This special training is co-hosted by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “IKCEST”) under the Auspices of UNESCO and Xi'an Jiaotong University, and will be organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. 

Details are as follows:

I. Trainees

Foreign students and teachers from Belt-road countries.

II. Training Time

27th April- 3rd May.

III. Forms of Training 

A combined approache of video-on-demand (shortened as VOD) study, quiz in video, online discussion and after-class practicing will be employed in the online training.

IV. Contents

This training programme has 6 lectures, and aims to introduce the theories, their applications and achievements of information technology such as AI, big data, Internet+, medicine etc. used in the COVID-19 prevention and control. 

V. Certificate

Trainees will be awarded a training certificate jointly issued by IKCEST and Xi'an Jiaotong University after they complete all the courses, finish the survey and pass the tests.

VI. How to Apply & Participate

Step 1: Please register and join the class at the IKCEST website follow the tutorial video.(Class verify code is S18643).

Step 2: Scan QR code （updated） to join the WeChat group for this program, where notification of MOOC Platform Account for those who successfully registered will be announced.

Step 3: Go to the MOOC platform for online learning.

Step 4: Finish the survey and the online tests.
